You can secure your data by locking the screen or by using a screen unlock pattern every time your phone is turned on or every time it is activated from sleep mode.
To create a screen unlock pattern
1 From the Home screen, press for menu.
2 Tap Settings > Security & location > Set unlock pattern.
3 Follow the instructions in your phone.
